How to keep track of your lease mileage

With a long-term lease, extra km are charged when you return the car, and people often notice too late. Kumani Garage works out your mileage budget day by day from the contract and tells you right away if you are on track, how many km per day you can still drive and what you might pay at the end.

How it works

    Add your car

    Tap «Add car» and choose whether it is owned or leased. Enter a name, make and model and, if you like, the number plate.

    Lease: the contract details

    For a long-term lease enter pickup date, duration in months, included km and monthly payment. With the cost per extra km we also tell you how much you might pay at the end of the contract.

    Update the mileage and check the budget

    Every now and then enter the current km with the date: you instantly see if you are within budget, how many km per day you can still drive and the end-of-contract projection.

    Deadlines and expenses

    Add road tax, insurance, inspection and service: they appear in the Home agenda and we remind you ahead of time. When you pay, tap «Paid»: it becomes a car expense, also in Spendly.

Frequently asked questions

How is lease mileage calculated?

Divide the included km by the contract length: for example 40,000 km over 48 months is about 833 km a month. Kumani Garage does the maths day by day from the pickup date and compares it with your real mileage.

What happens if I go over my lease mileage?

When you return the car you pay every extra km at the price in the contract (usually a few cents per km). If you enter that cost, Kumani Garage shows how much you might pay at your current pace.

Is it useful for a car I own?

Yes: for an owned car you keep track of deadlines (road tax, insurance, inspection, service) and expenses, which also go into Spendly.
